The personalised banners workshop with The Crafts Collective is a relaxed workshop to teach you how to repurpose fabrics into a beautiful, personalised banner!

Use felt, Pom Poms and text to create your own banner to decorate the home, create a personalised gift or for a wedding or just a little something for you. 

A maximum of 15 per workshop.

Screen Print Your Own Tote Bag with Karoline Rerrie

Screen Print Your Own Tote Bag, bookable workshop, suitable for young people & adults, maximum of 10 people at a time.

Bring along a simple idea or design to work from. Cut out a paper stencil of your design using a scalpel. Use your stencil with fabric printing ink, a screen and a squeegee to create a bright coloured print on a tote bag to take home.

Ceramics for beginners with Kate Andrews

Saturday 1 October 10am – 4pm Ceramics for Beginners (12 people maximum)
Eye Candy Illustration & Art Fair, St Martin in the Bullring, Birmingham

Ceramicist Kate Andrews invites you to join her for a day of relaxing making, learning and self expression. You will learn the basics of how to use clay, hand build and coil to make pots and vessels, discover decorative techniques and how to use coloured slip. You will create a unique piece which will be gas fired and glazed following the workshop. 

Katie Andrews is a Birmingham based ceramic artist.

Make a carbon printed poster with Definitely Jenny

Join Eye Candy for an introduction to carbon paper printing, a simple, low-cost and under-appreciated form of printmaking!

Learn the technique and create your own unique print with designs by DefinitelyJenny or bring your own image (max print design size 130 mm x 180 mm on A5 paper, one colour only, for best results).

Jenny will be running her workshop on Saturday the 8th October at 3-5pm at the Eye Candy pop up store.

Make a stitched happy chap with Sparklymouse

Come and make your own Happy Chap! They may not look too happy but they’ll certainly bring some cheer to your day. When you arrive you will pick out a character of your choice, choose your colours and then Louise will teach you the basics of sewing these little guys for you to then take away with you at the end of the workshop.

The workshop will start at 12.30pm at the Illustration and Art Fair at St Martin in the Bullring, Saturday 1st October.

Spaces are very limited and will be available on a first come first offered basis.

Make Christmas decorations with KT Robbins Ceramics

Have fun and experiment with polymer clay to create a small number of keepable pendants or Christmas decorations.

First of all you will work the clay with your hands to make it soft and then roll it out flat ready to receive a texture. Roll fabric or textured wall-paper into the clay. Then use any of the ‘cookie cutters’ to create a shape such as stars, snow drops or circles. At home simply bake your makes in the oven at 110 degrees for 15 minutes.
